SD07 We R in SPACE (Statistical Programming And Computing Environment). And We R Not Alone! Monday, May 3 | 1:45 pm EDT
Janssen and d-wise partnered to develop a Statistical Computing Environment (SCE) that supports clinical programming workflows that are intuitive and enable users to do their work efficiently by leveraging user experience, cloud-based technology, and a service-based architecture. Built on high performant GRID computes for both SAS and R, SPACE makes full use of cloud and microservice technologies and is scalable and flexible. In this presentation we will demonstrate the solution and how we have combined the ability to interactively develop code in native IDEs such as SAS and R studio with a controlled system for generating results to build an end to end process users want to use.

DH04 See No Data, Hear No Risk... Monday, May 3 | 3:30 pm EDT
Public sharing of documents requires anonymization of patient data before they are released. Can you carry out a quantified risk of reidentification on documents when you do not have access to the underlying datasets?
I get asked this question every year, either during a presentation or whilst it’s my turn to man the booth at a conference. It always really pained me to say “No, I am afraid blur can only be used for redactions when there is no underlying data”. Within our CTT services business we have never had a need to explore any other option, as all our sponsors did have access to the data…… Until just recently.
This presentation will illustrate how you can create a dataset from just the documents with relevant identifiers, so that we can accurately measure the risk of identification of participants. Redaction does not have to be the default when you do not have access to the underlying data.

ET03 Transformation from Prescriptive Clinical Data Analyses to Dynamic Data-driven Analytics through the Adoption of Modularized Cloud Components Tuesday, May 3 | 11:00 am EDT
The last decade has seen an explosion of platforms dedicated to cloud-native data science analytics while traditional biometrics processes have lagged using COTS monolithic systems or duct taped custom built solutions, both of which challenge clients to deliver systems that are scalable, innovative, and accelerate clinical trials. This phenomenon is largely due to regulated biostats work, creating a risk averse approach by programmers working on traditional systems and stagnant processes. However, the transformation of biostats processes to adopt data science platforms is inevitable. Analysis is analysis. Once our industry understands how to deliver dynamic and contextual data and analytics with controls, you will start to see biostats processes change to leverage new technology.
This presentation will introduce the scope of a future platform that modularizes the clinical data lifecycle through cloud based, flexible, and clinically focused components allowing sponsors to configure a scalable platform to their specific needs.
