John has over 20 years of experience in software design and development. As a lead developer at SAS, he was a pioneer in connecting SAS technology with emerging Internet business models, bringing the power of analytics to web applications across a wide variety of businesses. John was awarded two software patents for innovative solutions developed while at SAS. In the early 2000's he embarked on a consulting career, helping clients to understand and apply technology to their businesses, eventually focusing on the Life Sciences arena.
John is most proud of the lifesaving and enhancing medicines brought to market by clinical trial analysis systems designed, built, and hosted with d-wise. Under the leadership of John Leveille, client success has been elevated and now sits at the center of all recommendations and decisions. This service mentality has earned d-wise the trust of 75% of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies and over 150 life science organizations of all sizes.
John is blessed with three children and his wife Patti. When not in the office, John and his family love to hike and travel.
Bud Whitmeyer, Chairman/CFO, has over 30 years experience working in software development environments, including over 20 years experience in software company management as both an employee and board member. He has an in-depth understanding of software company operations and growth characteristics. He was most recently President & CEO of NuTech Solutions, Inc., a Charlotte, NC based software company that developed custom solutions centered around predictive analytics, simulation, and optimization. Bud's experience in technology includes 11 years at SAS and holding leadership roles at several early stage software companies. Bud also has 6 years experience as a full-time General Partner with Research Triangle Ventures, a seed/early stage venture capital fund based in Raleigh, NC.
For a decade, Tom’s commercial leadership has powered the growth of d-wise. As Chief Commercial Officer, Tom brings over 20 years of experience in Life Science enterprise technology and consulting. He has extensive experience in creating, growing and leading sales organizations, whose mission is to solve complex business problems and deliver value to clients. Tom has held executive sales leadership positions within the Health and Life Sciences divisions of SAS, Oracle and PDR Network and has extensive experience structuring and growing companies for funding and acquisition.
Chris Decker is Vice President, Life Sciences at d-wise, a consulting company focused on helping customers optimize their clinical systems and processes to enable innovation for a healthier world. At d-wise, Chris leads a team focused on helping customers improve what they do every day through process improvement, enabling technology, and leveraging data standards. In previous lives, Chris worked for SAS implementing and delivering solutions across a range of life science companies, and GSK as a senior statistician and data integration consultant participating in several FDA submissions and leading multiple data warehousing and analytics initiatives.
Outside of d-wise, Chris serves on the CDISC Board of Directors and as a member of phuse CSS Steering Committee.
Sam has over 25 years of successfully delivering global life science project and operations consulting. She is accountable for the implementation of d-wise global strategy across Europe and the contribution of European insights to that strategy. Experienced in Facilitation, Process Improvement and Project Management, Sam has a life sciences degree, MBA and is a Chartered Manager. Prior to joining d-wise Sam held leadership positions with Covance, Merck Serono and GlaxoSmithKline. At Covance she led 300+ staff delivering on-time, on target laboratory data to investigators and sponsors. At Merck Serono, as Director of Global Processes, Standards, Research & Systems, Biostatistics she led a global team of change agents and service providers to deliver greater efficiency and productivity within clinical development. At GSK, she led statistical computing projects for Research as well as development, seeing the complete research and development lifecycle from molecule discovery through to registration. Sam contributes to the PhUSE organization and is passionate about using smarter technologies with effective processes in the drug development process.
Rob has over 20 years of experience in Technology leadership roles in both for profit and not-for-profit companies. He has worked across multiple industries including Healthcare, Finance, Wireless/Telephony and Life Sciences.
He brings a wealth of experience across all facets of Technology including Strategy, Architecture, Development, Delivery, Quality Assurance, Security and Operations.
Rob’s role at d-wise sees him responsible for the overall Hosting practice including the d-wise private cloud as well as solutions in the hybrid/public cloud. The Hosting team is responsible for architecture, design, delivery and operational support of our client’s clinical systems.

Jon is an experienced leader, strategist, and Quality professional with more than 17 years’ experience working in regulated environments. In addition to his experience leading global teams, he’s also spent time abroad as an ex-patriot leading a European team in Geneva, Switzerland.
Jon brings a unique background to the d-wise Team, having previously held Quality, Operations, and Strategic leadership roles. His passion for continuous improvement is paralleled by his commitment to pragmatism and ensuring solutions are compliant and add value.
Jon holds a B.S in Political Science/Computer Information Systems and an M.B.A with a focus in Healthcare Management.
Mindi is known for her passion for cultivating leaders from within an organization. She partners extensively with front-line managers to create a "best place to work" culture and believes her unique contribution comes by way of bringing out the best in others. Mindi has 20 years of experience in human resources, leadership development, and leading learning. She has worked in a broad range of industries and most frequently finds herself surrounded by advanced technology teams. Mindi earned her Senior Professional Human Resources certification in 2007. She holds a bachelor's degree in business from Averett University and a master's degree in education from Capella University.
Mike is an accomplished B2B marketing leader with experience leading commercial teams at global companies spanning healthcare, life sciences, software, technology, and consumer products.
He believes that great marketing starts with understanding clients. Using technology as an accelerator, Mike’s strategy and leadership for client acquisition and retention support the pathway for brand value, preference, and loyalty.
Mike previously led marketing at GSK, Janssen and Advance Auto. He holds a B.S. in Marketing from the University of North Carolina and an M.B.A. from the University of Georgia
